Privacy Policy for iServe

iServe ("we", "our", or "us") operates the iServe mobile application (the "App"), a marketplace that connects customers with local service providers (e.g. home cleaning, salon, handyman, and pet care services). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your full name, email address, and password (handled securely via Firebase Authentication). Service providers may also provide a business name and bio.

Profile and Service Photos. If you choose to upload a profile photo or, as a provider, photos for your listed services, these images are stored via Firebase Storage.

Service and Booking Data. Information related to services you list or book, including descriptions, prices, categories, booking dates, and status.

Reviews and Ratings. Ratings and written reviews you submit for services you've booked.

Location Data. The App includes a Business Map feature that shows nearby service providers. Service providers' business addresses are converted to map coordinates (latitude/longitude) and displayed to customers. If you enable location permissions on your device, the App may also access your device's location to show your position on the map relative to nearby providers. You can deny or revoke this permission at any time in your device settings — the App will still function normally, but your current position won't be shown on the map.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display services and provider profiles to customers
• Process and manage bookings between customers and providers
• Calculate and display average ratings and reviews
• Show service providers on a map and, if permitted, your location relative to them
• Provide customer support
• Improve and maintain the App

3. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your data is stored using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Storage). Map functionality is powered by Google Maps. Firebase and Google Maps apply industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share limited information as follows:

• Between users: A service provider's business name, bio, services, location, and ratings are visible to customers. A customer's name may be visible to a provider for a booking they've made.
• Service providers we use: Google Firebase (data hosting, authentication, storage) and Google Maps (map display and location services).
• Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of iServe, our users, or others.

We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics services that share your data with advertisers.

5. Your Choices

You can:

• Update your profile information at any time within the App
• Delete your profile photo
• Deny or revoke location permission in your device settings at any time
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below

6. Children's Privacy

iServe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date above.
